When I Lost My Wife
It did not take long for depression to set in. I went though
hell, and wanting to end my life, yes depression can and will kill. I am alright
now, it is eleven years sense my wife has been gone, I wrote this article five
years ago ,and it still hurts today, day and night the pain and loneliness won`t go away.

Someone close to me was going though a rough time also,
and thought of me, and asked me how did I
get though my depression after my wife`s passing.

WELL MY DEAR ANGLE
IT`S another day and I don`t care what the
weather is like out side, I never watch the weather report any way.
It could be raining cat`s and dog`s as the saying goes.
Or it could be below zero - degrees, but that`s ok with me.

Because every day is a wonderful day to be a live, you can make the worse day
become your best day if you would wake up with a SMILE, and have a good
ATITUDE towards your UP`S and DOWN`S.
*
Today is going to be a nice day,
so why not get out side, and do something with a friend or a love one.
That would help ease up- on those up`s and down`s you may be having.
Remember the best investment today is a SMILE, so give
a smile, and you will get it back many times in return.
*
Stay away from traffic jams, and loud noises, find a quite
place where you and your friend can talk quietly, and be able to hear each
other thoughts. Go and have lunch together, then go back home and take a
afternoon nap, best thing for you.

PART TWO
It didn`t rain cat`s and Dog`s yesterday, so did you go out with a friend yesterday?
I bet that the lunch you had was great, and can`t wait to do it again. Well there isn`t a
better time then right now to make arrangements for next week- end and if you
decided to go out with the same friend or love one, and you were the person who
choose the places to go last week end, then ask your friend or love one to
choose where to go for lunch.

OK now, we got the week end covered, which is great.
Because it gives you something to look forward for all week, you must plain
your week ahead of time, this helps by putting less pressure on you.
and your nerves. If you try to go day by day by day, something always get in
the way if you are living with someone.
*
Let me assume that you are living with someone, ( Husband ) or a ( wife ) or even
(children) maybe a friend. Sit down with them, and plain your day or week
with them so there won`t be any surprises for either of you.
It`s important that every one in the home knows what is happening concerning as fellows
*
Eating arrangements, Recreation like going walking or going to the mall, TV-watching,
Grocery shopping, Laundry day, House cleaning chores, Paying the bills,
*
DON`T LEAVE THIS ALL UP TO ONE PERSON.
Every one has to get involved, and help each other, and before you know it
everyone will feel better for it.

Part Three
Stress will cause depression, and this can add to, hospitalization and can lend up
putting y0u on prescription drugs. Which is not good for any one

So my friends, please if your trying to stop smoking and find it is making you very nervous,
please go back and smoke a few cigarettes each day for a while,
or go and see a doctor for assistance, may be the (( patch ))

IT`S another day and I don`t care what the

smoke with my first cup of coffee in the morning, I could go the rest of
the day until I had my second cup of coffee, or after my lunch, my third
smoke would be for after my afternoon break, and my forth would be
after dinner, or supper. and fifth before going to bed.

Instead of quitting all together, try to cut back to five smokes a day.
Do this for a while until you feel you can cut it back to three smokes a day,
one after each meal. That is a very good way to
stop, I stop ten years ago cold turkey. and I have saved over
$50,000 dollars by not smoking, now I have money in the bank. LOL
*
If you have lost a love one like me, and can`t come to terms with it, please
go and see your priest or Doctor, they are the best quick fix of helping you.
I have lost my wife and had a rough time with it because I was living a lone.
I had know one I could talk with when I needed to talk to someone.
\
So try not to be alone at first.

Be careful, don`t depend on anyone but yourself to beat this thing they call
STRESS, and depression, because if they fail, then most likely you will fail,
If you think you are getting depressed, and feel lonely, talk to someone maybe
your Mom, Dad, Sister, or your Brother. Maybe your Children, priest,
Doctor, even your Neighbor and your best friend.

BUT DON`T BE A LONE IF YOU FEEL DEPRESSED.
~ THE MIND ~
smoke with my first cup of coffee in the morning, I could go the rest of

~ THE MIND ~
That`s right , the MIND is the key to un-lock the closet that holds this sickness call depression.
Once you have realized that depression is controlled by the MIND .
You will be more then half way beating this sickness,
with out prescription drugs, or visits to the Doctors once a month,
Depression attacks the MIND and it`s worse enemy and healer is called ( will- power).
And will-power is the best medicine for beating depression.

Look I am not a Doctor, and I DON`T want to sound like one, and I DON`T have any medical training
on what I am saying, But I do have enough common sense to be able to tell
you that it is MIND OVER MATTER, as I see it in most cases and you need to work
on this to beat it. I do understand that everyone is different, I just want you
to know, I did beat it. and did it with out medication or drugs.

So if you can start training your MIND to fright off those tough up`s and down`s feelings, and
train your MIND to over come the discomfort and learn to relax your body, your
nerves will also start to relax and you will feel much better.
*
you know yourself, when sitting around idle, you find yourself now thinking that no one
cares if you are alive or not, you must be able to see and understand that this
is where you have to stand up to stop or correct that kind of thinking, it only
will bring on depression later on.
*
It`s only your MIND wondering looking for trouble, you have to show yourself
or your MIND how wrong you are to think your love one`s don`t care..
*
Now, you have to start making daily chores interesting. All the chores I mentioned above
can be called daily activities, lets start referring to them as such. So lets choose the
activity what is called GROCERY shopping,
*
Many people don`t like going grocery shopping, so why not make
it a exciting activity, and go shopping with a member of your family. Don`t go
alone, plain to go for breakfast with this person before going grocery shopping,
enjoy yourself
. Thy say never go grocery shopping when your hungry,
If you do, you will lend up buying more junk food then you had intended.
But the idea is to make it an enjoyable activity
NOT A CHORE

Let`s take one more activity,
to get the idea across clearer, let`s choose Eating Arrangements seeing that we
just went grocery shopping. Again many people get`s the down`s when it comes to
preparing the meals. Certainly if you are the person who has to do all the arrangements
and all the preparing of the meals all the time.

Again let`s put some fun in to
this activity, this is one of the activities that calls for sitting down with
the family members and plan who will do the preparing for the next meal, and if
you get some one yell out, "I can`t cook" you just yell back and say " it is time for you to learn"
*
You don`t have to know how to cook the meal to prepare the
meal, And it is a start to get involve . And the fun part is when you
all are sitting there you can schedule one night to go out to eat with each other;
That will make a big different`s in everyone lives believe me when I say this
IT IS TRUE.
Because it relieves the tension and stress all around, It breaks up the old continuous routine,
BUT THE MAIN IDEA IS FOE EVERYONE TO JOIN IN PREPARING AND
MAKING THE ARRANGEMENT TOGETHER,
DON`T LEAVE IT TO THE SAME PERSON ALL THE TIME
